Will tell a story of your life as a family and will capture a point in time for you and your family. If we think about who is important to us it is usually those who we spend the most time with, for most cases this would involve family and/or freinds. Family portrait photographs will stay around your home for years to come for you and your family to enjoy them. If you would like your family portrait photographs taken in your own home this is also possible with Kent Portrait Photographer. We will pick a date together which is suitable for your family portrait photographs. We know how hard it is to organise a family get together so can totally understand that a home family portrait session would suit many families.

Usually a family portrait session would last around an hour, this is enough time to capture a snippet of your life as a family for your family portrait photographs. Children have usually had enough by the end of an hour shooting different ideas and after a few costume changes we are sure you will be pleased with the outcomes of your family portrait photographs.

We then take a few days to edit the shots we took for your family portrait photographs. We will contact you on completion and you can either have a viewing at Kent Portrait Photographer, Ashford or you can take a look at your family portrait photographs online and then make an email order. Discs can be purchased of your family portrait photographs which will include a disc for use on your dvd player and a disc for your computer so that you can do as you will with your family portrait photographs, upload them to facebook or email them to friends. Everyone can then enjoy your family portrait photographs and you can enjoy people “liking” them or simply printing them out to add to their collection of photographs.

On location with Kent Portrait Photographer

We have found that many people and families would be uncomfortable in a studio situation. We have an option to have a location shoot with you and your family. This could entail a portrait session on a family walk or at a family party-any family event would do.

Portrait photography in Kent can always take place in your own home too. This is where you and your family feel most relaxed so it always works really well for a portrait session. Usually an hour will do for a studio session, pets and children only tend to have a limited attention span in one area but at home we can stay for as long as you would like as mealtimes, playtime, bedtime all make such wonderful photographic opportunities.  If you are looking to involve pets in your portrait photography this would be the best option too.

Portrait photography in Kent offers some of the best locations for amazing, dramatic and outstanding portraiture. With such wonderful landscapes you can decide where you would like a location shoot or we can use some of our popular locations, which include Reculver Towers, a run-down church on the way to Pluckley or the Warren woods in Ashford, all providing a perfect backdrop for portrait photography in Kent.

Our sittings for portrait photography in Kent are just £45 per hour and this includes a free A4 print of your choice.

We often put offers on our facebook page “Kent Portrait Photographer”  for portrait photography in kent. After your session (whether it be at home, on location or in our studio) we then invite you back once the photographs are edited to see your shots. We have also just added a function on our website where you can see your photographs online and just send your order via email (if this is more convenient) Then you have the choice of purchasing a disc (so that you can go and get your images printed) or you can tell us your order and we will get them ordered for you. We offer digital prints, canvasses or acrylics, we also make albums to suit you and your session of portrait photography in kent.

Kentish Wedding

Kentish Wedding

ceremonies can be booked through Kent Couny Council, who have a wide variety of venues to choose from. They have created a video on their site which gives a taste of the ultimate Kentish Wedding.

kentish wedding

For me, a church ceremony was the right choice for our Kentish Wedding. We married at St.Peter and St.Paul’s in Bilsington. The day began at around 1pm and we had the reception at the pub in the heart of Bilsington.

I’m extremely pleased with our wedding photography which depicts the classic kentish wedding feel. With countryside background landscapes being the main focus-apart from us obviously hehe :)

I had many visions for our big kentish wedding day-Leeds Castle was one of them but at the end of the day as I heard on the news “you should only marry in a castle if you own it”, this made me lol lots…..

Photographing snow

Have been busy playing with my boys in the snow this morning, took quite a few pics and have realised adjusting levels in photoshop is the main thing I do when editing photographs, but when editing snow pics I do not mess with the white end of levels as have pretty much got that sussed with my camera and white balance, just make the shadows alot darker as this really highlights the whiteness of the snow

A course for iPhone photography?

iPhoneography?! Can’t shun it until you’ve tried I guess but this does sound like the qualification wouldn’t do a lot for your CV?! There are hardly any settings to be changed with an iPhone so what the heck will they be teaching, suppose it could be fun to visit lots of different locations but you don’t really need a college course to tell you how to do that? The instamatic app is fabulous and you should give it a go, just for fun!

The new Facebook Timeline

I know there has been a big hoo-hah over whether or not this new timeline for Facebook is going to drag up old statuses and posts and pics from the past, but to be honest they were all there anyway, if you really wanted to dig out some dirt on someone you could. I think the new timeline is fab, you can delete or hide anything you do not now see as appropriate and it is fab for showcasing photography as you can have your images rather large. At the end of the day, if you don’t agree with Facebook timeline you shouldn’t be on there at all!
